Scootering with your dog — lower barrier to entry than bikejor
CaniScoot is the sport of being pulled on a kick scooter by your dog. It offers a lower barrier to entry than bikejor — balance is easier, there's less specialised equipment, and it's more accessible for beginners. The sport is popular on flat, well-maintained gravel paths and forest roads. Many canicross participants transition to caniscoot as a way to vary their training or if they have a particularly powerful dog that enjoys pulling.
A sturdy kick scooter with pneumatic tyres (purpose-built scooters from Kickbike are the gold standard), plus the same harness and line setup as canicross. A helmet is essential. Entry-level scooters start around £100.
